Covid-19

The health and safety of our staff and patients are very important to us. Given the rate of spread and the affect the virus is having on vulnerable parts of our population, we have implemented several safeguard measures to enhance the protection of you and our staff when you receive treatment.

As directed by the state governments, we have implemented a COVID Safe Plan focused on safety, prevention and response. Wherever possible, we are also offering video health consultations to keep our patients connected to our Physiotherapists and keep a safe distance when needed.

We have created a COVID Safe workplace by implementing:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting or treatment beds and equipment (when required) prior and after each consultation
  • Density quotients, as required
  • Physiotherapists must wear a face mask and additional PPE, where/when appropriate
  • Air conditioner set to optimum air flow at the start of each work day
  • Hand sanitiser made available in all spaces
  • Record keeping and contact tracing
  • Mandatory mask wearing, when required

Vaccination status & mask policy

We respect your right to privacy, however, we have an obligation to keep both our employees and our clients safe, particularly those that are more susceptible to illness. We hope you can respect that is not unlawful for us to request any individual be able to provide evidence of both vaccination status or mask-wearing exemption in our best efforts to protect anyone entering our clinic. Our intent is not to preclude you from receiving the treatment you require, but more importantly to assist us to ensure the most appropriate safeguard measures are in place to protect everyone’s health.

Hygiene and cleaning practices

We’re closely following the advice received from Australian medical authorities and the World Health Organisation (WHO) regarding precautions that are needed to minimise risks concerned with COVID-19.

We’re ensuring our staff maintain high hygiene standards in our treatment rooms. This includes practicing proper hand sanitising procedures and patient screening.

Our clinics (treatment rooms) are cleaned very frequently with the use of appropriate cleaning products that help reduce the risk of possible harmful viruses. We are asking our patients to sanitise their hands upon entering and exiting our clinics and in addition to the standard practice for our practitioners to thoroughly sanitise or wash their hands between consultations, we are removing and replacing bed covers after each patient, removing, washing and replacing linen and wiping down surfaces, equipment and miscellaneous items.

We are also supporting the government guidelines of 7 days of isolation for any staff member who has been a close contact, or returned from overseas or interstate (where appropriate and if applicable).

Booking policy

In the best interest for our staff and other patients, it’s is essential that you let our team know prior to making an appointment or entering our locations, if you:

  • have had Covid-19 in the past 14 days (and if you have now returned a negative test)
  • have returned from overseas in the past 7 days
  • have a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath (or any other relevant Covid-19 symptoms)
  • have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19

We understand that this is a time for our communities and the vulnerable in our population to feel supported, so if you need to make a change to your booking due to any of the above, alternative arrangements will be made.

We encourage you to keep up to date with the latest COVID-19 information by visiting the Department of HealthWHO or Smart Traveller and ensure you are getting plenty of rest and sleep, hydration, enjoying healthy food and supporting those around you.
